General information, not advice

Everything on House Maths, including the calculators, guides, emails and videos, is general information about how UK property costs and taxes work. It is not financial, tax, legal or mortgage advice, and it doesn't take your circumstances into account. House Maths is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Before you make a decision, check the official guidance on GOV.UK or with the relevant tax authority, or speak to a qualified, regulated adviser.

Accuracy

We work hard to keep figures correct and dated, as explained in how we check figures. Rules change, and calculators simplify, so results are estimates for typical cases. Each calculator explains what it leaves out. Where the law hasn't yet caught up with an announcement, we say so.

Our liability

We provide the site free of charge and as it is. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for any loss arising from reliance on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Using our content

You're welcome to link to any page and quote short extracts with a link back. Please don't copy whole pages or calculators. Our name, logo and mascot are ours.
